Quake Jolts Bojnourd, Iran

Bojnourd, Khorasan Prov., IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale rocked Bojnourd in the northeast Iranian province of Khorasan at 09:34 (05:04 GMT) hours Friday, the second since August 23.

The Seismography network of Khorasan, affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, registered the epicenter of the quake at 340 km northwest of Bojnourd, on Iran's border with Turkmenistan. No human or material losses have yet been reported.
