This just sent in from an Earth Changes TV viewer in Australia.
There could be an earthquake-meteor connection
as reported from down under. An earthquake measuring 2.3 occurred the day of
the meteor, June 18th. It is unclear as to the exact times of the events. Then
a second 2.7 quake hit on June 21st, two days after the report of a meteor(s)
exploding through the earth's atmosphere. There is an ongoing search for confirmation
of the meteor(s) contact with the earth's surface.
The report of the earthquakes are in the southeast portion of Australia, near Melbourne. While the meteor(s) were reported in the northern territories. Perhaps it could simply be a coincidence. I really couldn't say.
Earthquake shakes Canberra, Australia...06/22/99
(AAP) Published: Tuesday June 22 12:53:22 AM
Canberra residents were shaken from their beds by a small earthquake which struck the northern part of the capital about midnight.
One resident in the suburb of Hackett said the quake had been strong enough to shake her house and move furniture.
The Fire Brigade said it had received no reports of damage but Australian Federal Police said they had received reports of the quake from resident right across the north side.
A spokesman for the Australian Seismological Centre said it appeared the north side of Canberra had been struck by a moderate earthquake, possible measuring about three on the Richter scale.
Australian Seismological Centre senior research scientist Kevin McCue said the quake had registered at the centre.
"It was recorded just before midnight," he told AAP.
"A small earthquake of magnitude about 2.7."
He said it was felt across many north Canberra suburbs and occurred in the same place as a similar quake was recorded last Friday afternoon. "
