The weather reports of storms of every type have captured every form of media. From drought, to floods, to snowstorms, to windstorms, with records breaking everywhere. How did it all start? It's the Sun! But you knew that already, now didn't you. :-)
For the first time yesterday, the NWS (national weather service) has announced the weather phenomenon we are experiencing will be around for 20 to 30 years to come. Where they came up with this number, no one can identify. I tend to disagree with their outcome. Maybe they just wanted to throw out a large number so they don't have to invent new cute names like El Nino, La Nina, and of course my homemade La Cookaracha.
Remember when the weatherman would come on and tell us "well folks, looks like we will be experiencing El Nino for a few months, but it should be gone by February ('99). When February came and went, we would hear "did I say February, I meant March". March would come and go, "did I say March, I meant April". Then it appeared they became embarrassed with having to change the date, so they changed the name. " did I say El Nino, I meant La Nina". (hehehe)
The good news is I/we don't have to listen to our favorite weather person stumble on their explanation of why the weather continues to escalate and shift beyond their explanations. I love the latest trend "uh, it was our out dated computers, yah that's it, now we are up grading our equipment. Soon I will know what the hell I'm talking about". Okay, I've had my fun.....
On a more serious note, I believe what we will see for the next several months is back to back accelerated solar activity. What this means is the sunspot count will ebb and flow so rapidly, that it will seem as though we will have constant weather change for weeks maybe months at a time.
It goes like this. It takes 48 to 72 hours for the solar flares to reach our magnetic field. Within this time, solar activity will increase and decrease before one wave ends and the other starts, appearing to be a constant wave of ever changing weather.
An example would be the M-Class flares we experienced 7 days
ago. Within the 48 to 72 hours it took to reach our magnetic field, we experienced
the windstorms in the Seattle area with up to 115 mph winds, leaving 400,000
homes without power. Then within the original 72 hours mentioned, another set
of M-Class flares hit manifesting as the winter storms on the east coast and
the record heat in the southwest we see today. Since then yet another series
of M-Class flares occurred just yesterday which will manifest with still more
severe weather tomorrow or Sunday.

The weather reports are coming in so rapidly, it is hard to keep up. But I will do my very best.
Thank for the support you have sent my way. It has certainly helped financially and maybe even more importantly, emotionally. As you might have imagined, when anything new comes along, one can take quite a few hits. No exception here.

We are totally self supporting from my earnings as a mental health practitioner,
but as you may have guessed, it is not enough. I hope this will be temporary
and that we will be picked up with a syndication. But until then, it is you
and me.
Blessings To All,
